• When Aiden pulled up in front of the house, I felt a mix of contentment and nerves. I had convinced Aiden to pick me up after my classes, and the ride home had felt intimate in its own quiet way. But as we stepped inside, something felt off. A strange presence lingered, and before i could place it, Elena emerged from the kitchen with plates in her hands. Her smile widened as she laid eyes on Aiden.
