Chapter 46 - Impressing The Family

• The air around the dining room table was tense that evening. Both Kristen and Lana filled the silence with their own recount of their day, while James and I chose to sit back and keep to ourselves.
• I could tell he was heavily bothered by what happened at work earlier. What Rudolf said right before he left, caused something to snap within him. As soon as Rudolf left, James returned to the sanctuary of his office without so much as another word.
• My first thought was to at least tell him what Rudolf and I discussed. Part of me felt so compelled to follow him, but I knew he needed his space.
