• By the time Ethan and Kylie returned from their walk, they were both hungry. They had missed dinner, but there were leftovers for them in the fridge. Kylie dished out plates for them, heated them up, and brought them to the table. Lucy had prepared ginger chicken, rice, and vegetable julienne. It was one of Ethan’s favorite dishes, and his eyes lit up when he saw what was on his plate.
• When Stephen heard that they were home, he came out of his room and joined them at the table. Kylie took a few bites from her plate, and then she asked Stephen if he’d given any thought to the situation with Sally’s face.
