• NIXON'S POV
• After talking to Dave at the police station, I made up my mind that I was going to help him in any way that I could. At that point, I knew there was no way of getting him out of jail. The only possible way to help him was to get the judge to give him a shorter sentence.
• Since I got to Mr. Mendez's hotel suite, he has been making a series of calls, he made me list out the contact of all the judges he knew from Chicago and Pittsburgh. Through one of them, he was able to reach the judge in charge of Dave's case. Putting a large amount of money on the table, he managed to buy him off and convinced him to hold the court hearing the day after tomorrow.
