• “Hello, neighbor!” Anthony called out from across the window, waving his hands enthusiastically at the brown-haired girl standing elegantly, her lips forming a perfect smile wide enough to brighten the day.
• Anthony felt his heart beat steadily as he watched her wave back, her hair brushing across her pretty face. “When did you return?” she asked, raising her window so he could hear her. “You were supposed to return in the evening, right?”
• “Last night,” he replied. “How about I come over for breakfast, and then we can do what I promised a few days ago?”
