Chapter 22 A Wad Of Money
- Quitting time arrived, the sun tilting westward, leaving an orange sky above the Cinta Grafika building. I walked out with Yuna, our steps in sync on the crowded sidewalk filled with other employees. The evening air felt cool, but my mind remained heavy. “Yuna, I think I’ll look for a cheaper boarding house,” I said suddenly, staring ahead, not wanting to keep relying on her.
- Yuna glanced at me, her bangs swaying slightly in the breeze. “No need. Just stay with me. It’s more cost-effective. You can rent your place after payday,” she replied casually, her tone brimming with confidence.
- I sighed, pausing my steps for a moment. “I don’t want to keep troubling you. Besides, we’re a guy and a girl—it’s not right to live in the same room,” I said seriously, trying to reason logically.
