• "Okay, but this doesn't ring any bells with me," he countered. "Can you give me an example?"
• "Well..." she paused, thinking hard, "...sometimes we'd take turns being the daddy, and other times the baby. Daddy would tie the baby's hands behind its back, and then Mommy would come and clean the baby up with a washcloth."
• He stared at her in silence for a moment, then looked away. "That's interesting," he said finally. "Maybe we can explore that later, but for now, let's move on."
