• I lay lifelessly on the ground with various wounds on my body, both those that were inflicted on me by the rogues and those that I got while trying to save Erica. I knew that my decision about saving Erica was bad and that I would end up getting hurt at the end, but I have made up my mind to stay with her till the end, and I am glad I was able to keep to my promise. I knew that I had kept my promise that I would do anything to see her safe and sound.
• I knew she was also hurt, but not like mine. She was able to recover from her wounds due to her werewolf healing, but mine didn't heal like hers. I knew that I might have strong blood flowing through me, and that is the blood of a Lycan, but I don't heal like she does. I wondered what was going on in my life. I wonder why the rogues were after me. I knew that someone who knew about Erica's schedule had set this whole thing up, and I knew that things wouldn't get any better.
