• “…I thought he wasn’t coming.” I blurted out, my voice sounded a bit low when I spoke, glad I didn’t have to repeat my words because they heard me.
• Mom turned from the front seat, she stared at me, and then over to Ocean. “I wanted him to come with us, as family.” She smiled softly and sat properly in the front seat with Alpha West.
• I adjusted myself on the backseat, held the seatbelt, I felt suffocating with it around my chest, and Ocean’s gray eyes were on the window.
