• I tried binge-watching The Hunger Games. I tried sleeping. I tried everything I could on that damned plane to stop myself from glancing at the man in front of me. Nothing worked. My eyes betrayed me, drawn to him as he sifted through documents like the fate of the world depended on his pen strokes.
• We were heading to his city Berlin after the wedding. And yes, he was working a few minutes after he got married, like it was just another Tuesday.
