Chapter 22 How Far?

• The servants were running around, carrying golden plates, containing things that were supposed to be food and Michael could barely recognize half of what was inside . It was another of the fancy galas the rich constantly organised, the difference now as it was in Richard's Manor.
• The maids were running around, fixing their skirts and yelling at each other what was to be carried where.
• Everything was decorated perfectly, the tall wooden doors in French style looked even more beautiful with the porcelain vases placed around the hallways and full of white lilies that in the lights from the crystal chandeliers looked golden, contributing to the overall elegant atmosphere.
