• As I watched The Ravangets ride off, Max appeared beside me, his cologne wafting I to my nostrils. He always smelled like jasmine. I once teased him about the fact that he was wearing a woman's accent and he'd told me it was the scent of his ex-girlfriend that had died when he was eighteen.
