Chapter 26 Fangs Of Redemption

  • The last white wolf was just finishing off an enemy. He had beaten him up until he reverted to his human form. The guardian then took him by the head and dragged him. With a limp body and a head between two dangerous sets of wolf teeth, all the enemy could do was hope for the best. But the best never came as the white wolf bit down hard against the man’s head, smashing it into pieces and spilling blood all over the ground.
  • On the other side of me, was Alexa, running as far as her tiny legs could take her. A new wolf had appeared in the corner of a tree and was lying in wait. She could not see it. My throat tightened as I searched the ground for my bow. The more seconds that went by, the more Alexa neared the gate of the Abode, the more she neared her predator that was now beginning to rise, assuming a stance that would allow him to leap as far as he wanted and efficiently pin Alexa down.
  • Eventually, I found my bow, it was lying in the grass, and above it, was the wolf I had damaged its eye. It was still recovering from its pain so it remained standing. Now my options were these: rush to the bow and take out the wolf aiming at Alexa or rush to the bow and finish the one-eyed wolf that was standing just above the bow.
