• The house Alessio bought for me was gorgeous. A two-storey building with four bedrooms, a den or studio, a garden at the back, in a gated community. It wasn't for the wealthy but it definitely screamed upper middle class.
• Alina and I quickly got settled into our new life. We spent the weekend exploring the mini estate. They had a supermarket, a cafe, a daycare and an elementary school. There was always a hospital, a bank and a few businesses.
• Today we were holding a housewarming party and I had invited Rosa and Elio. I thought about inviting my old best friend Laura but something told me she wouldn't be comfortable. It was best she stayed far away from my new life.
