- “I can tell you enjoyed yourself.” Evelyn directed her question to her last born who was seated beside her husband. Laura's head was on her Dad's shoulder.
- “Yes, mom. This is like the best birthday I’ve ever had.” She grinned.
- “I remember you saying the same thing last year.” Her mom mocked, referring to her thirteenth birthday last year where they threw a huge party for her.
