Chapter 7 The Brakes Were Damaged

• "Kevin," Anita's voice surprised Kevin.
• "What are you doing here, beautiful?" Kevin asked.
• "I found out that my cousin had an accident while she was with another man." Anita was a wise harpy who knew very well what her purpose was: to rub more salt and lemon into the wound, so that Kevin would hate Alicia even more.
• "Calm down, Anita, we still don't know exactly what happened."
• "How is my cousin, Kevin? I was worried when I heard about the accident."
• "She's fine, she's out of danger."
• "Mr. DuPont, how are you feeling after the donation? Do you feel dizzy?"
• "What donation are you talking about, doctor?"
• "Blood transfusion from Mr. DuPont to Mrs. DuPont."
• "Yes, doctor, I'm fine," was Kevin's response.
• "Why did you do that, Kevin?"
• "She has to give me an heir, Anita, and I don't want any problems." Kevin lied, he couldn't tell her that if she died, his world could come crashing down. He didn't want to lose her, and He didn't even understand this situation himself.
• Kevin went straight home with Anita, but not before giving instructions to his men and Gabriela to come with Alicia.
• "Kevin, don't you think it's time for us to take a break, you and me?"
• "Anita, I have a lot of work to do, and now without the Vice President, everything will fall on my shoulders in the coming days."
• "I understand, Kevin, but when everything has calmed down, we can go relax like before."
• "Of course, beautiful, I'll take you. Now that I remember, my cruise partners will be organizing an exclusive members' trip. One day will be for business, and the other 3 days will be for fun on the cruise that will sail all over the ocean."
• "Kevin, of course, I want to go with you."
• In the Muller family hospital, Alicia open her eyes. Her whole body is sore, she see a white room, and the smell of chlorine fills her nostrils.
• "You're awake, Gabriela. What happened to me after lunch with Raul, you had an accident."
• "Of course, I remember, the damn brakes were damaged."
• "It's true, Alicia, everyone says that Mr. Raul made a bad maneuver, although there haven't been any official news yet."
• "When we were on our way to our company, he told me to fasten my seatbelt because the brakes were damaged, and that was the last thing before the impact happened."
• "Alicia, you almost died, but rest. Do you want something to eat or drink?"
• "No, Gabi, I'm fine, I'm weak. I'll sleep a little more."
• "David, good to see you. I wanted to inform you that Ali woke up, but she feels weak and fell asleep again."
• "That's good news, Gabi."
• "She told me that the brakes were damaged."
• "Yes, Raul mentioned something, but his people will keep it a secret until they find the real culprits. For now, they will say that he made a bad maneuver."
• "I understand, David. Well, I won't take up any more of your time. I'll go back to the room. You know, it's very strange to have those guards guarding Alicia."
• "Orders from my cousin, Gabi, and it's for the best. We still don't know if this was for Raul or for Alicia. If so, and if they find out that she's alive, they could try to finish the unfinished job."
• "Hello, Gabriela," David's voice stopped the woman, feeling a little nervous in his presence. "Is something wrong," David asked.
• "Don't say that I'm taking up your time again, Gabriela. When Alicia gets better, would you mind going out to dinner with me?"
• The doctor's words surprised Gabriela, but immense joy filled her heart. "Of course, David, I won't have any problem."
• David nodded with a smile, making Gabriela blush, and then he went to Alicia's room.
• Kevin was at Anita's house, and it was clear that she wanted something more, and he had no reason to refuse.
• "Kevin, make me yours like that time, I need you."
• Why the hell did she have to mention the past, that past that has hed so intrigued? "Anita, don't mention that moment, please."
• "But you made me your woman back then, Kevin. Why are you denying it now? Don't you want me anymore, Kevin? You didn't like it, you don't desire me."
• "I know perfectly well what we did that time, but you know we were under the influence of alcohol, neither you nor I remember it well, and I don't want to talk about it."
• "Also, don't say that, of course I love you, I desire you to be my woman Anita, but all this is stressing me out, besides I am married, doing that would be incorrect and unfair to you."
• Anita knew Kevin would fall at her feet and into her bed if she insists a little more, "Kevin, make me yours, now I don't want to wait any longer."
• "Because it wouldn't be right, I am the woman you love." And without further ado, she kissed him. Feeling Anita's lips is a temptation, feeling her body enveloping his, as she unbuttons his shirt, there is no doubt she is a passionate woman that any man would want to have.
• I was about to make my move when the phone rings - "Mr. DuPont, the brakes were intentionally cut, the Jones will hide this information until the matter is clarified, to reach those responsible."
• "Very well, thank you for the information, a demonic desire to destroy the person who did this settled in me, who is so stupid to put my wife's life at risk."
• "Kevin," Anita's voice surprised him, he forgot what matter they were in until e realized he had a condom in his hand, Anita can't get pregnant, but it's better for her that he use protection to avoid other things.
• "Something has happened, darling, I have to go, it's urgent."
• "But Kevin," Anita was an expert in manipulating Kevin and used her tricks, but to her surprise Kevin left the room quite confused, he had no urgency, but why the hell couldn't he take Anita, moreover, the sweet face of a woman always brings it to his thoughts, he grab his car and leave, he need to do something right now.
• "Gabi, you can go rest, I'll be fine," Alicia's voice is so sweet that anyone would fall at her feet.
• "No Ali, I'm fine."
• "Gabriela, go rest," Kevin's voice shook the 2 girls in the room.
• "Yes sir," that was all Gabriela said, she said goodbye and left.
• "What are you doing here, Kevin?" Alicia's question was asked out of surprise to see Kevin. "Can't I come to see my wife," he says somewhat annoyed.
• "Oh, I forgot, did you forget that you have a husband because you were with Raul, you went out to lunch with him and had an accident. If you hadn't gone out with him, you would be fine."
• "Shut up, Kevin, you're an idiot."
• "Don't you dare raise your voice at me, Alicia."
• "Or what, Kevin, are you going to slap me? Just leave me alone, go away, I don't want to see you."
• "Yes, I better go, I just want to know how long this recovery will last, I need to impregnate you, I can't stand this marriage for another second."
• "Why the hell don't you find another compatible woman and leave me, damn it, Kevin, find someone else and give me a divorce."
• Kevin knew what he wanted to do was wrong, she was hurt, but he couldn't resist and he kissed her, it was a tender kiss compared to the ones he used to give her, this one only had sweetness, conveying the fear of losing her that he felt.
• When he broke the kiss, he didn't want to hear anymore and left the hospital, because he can't accept divorcing her, thinking about it is a curse, damn it.
• "No one is allowed in her room," were Kevin's orders to his bodyguards as he left the hospital.
• "Yes sir," replied the bodyguard watching his boss get into his car.
• When Kevin left, Alicia’s heart was racing after they kiss, it was as if he wanted to convey something to her, but she was too weak to keep thinking due to the medications.
