• “Absolutely not! Have you completely lost your mind? We cannot do that! We will not do that!” Jake’s voice resounded with a fiery authority, a tone which might intimidate most into submission. But she wasn’t one to be easily overruled.
• “Why not?” She retorted, her eyes flashing nervously, unable to comprehend the vehemence of his response.
