Chapter 17: No Reaction

• “Diana, are you going out today?” Antonette asked worriedly.
• Diana nodded in silence. It had been a week since they had been together at Brian's house. Diana could tell Antonette was worried about her and was touched by her concern.
• “It’s OK. Just diagnosis and treatment.” Diana said cheerily. She tried to persuade both Antonette and herself that it would all be fine, “After this month, the agreement will be nothing but a piece of paper. I will be safe and free then.”
