• I had seen it just before Georgianna sent poor Star flying across the room. I supposed even the vengeful Georgianna could not deny the similarities between us. She was the only other Witch Luna I had ever heard of though she had not gotten a proper chance at being Luna. Perhaps I was meant to free her. It had flashed through my mind. Alto’s lifeless body. The mourning had gone on for days. Georgianna had locked herself away. Oleander had taken over the pack. He had besmirched Georgianna’s good name. He had hid Alto’s body from her, burying it somewhere Georgianna had not been able to find. Georgianna had been consumed by hatred living a wraith-like existence. She had tried to do away with herself but she could not pass on. She could not sleep. Not without her Alto. We needed to find Alto’s grave. We needed to lay her to rest with her mate. She had been denied him in life. She refused to be denied him in death too.
