• The first time that Tristan felt that he had made a mistake by sending the car back was when he saw that Eleanor’s house was covered in darkness. There were not even guards outside to get a message from him inside, and he had no phone to call Eleanor.
• He started walking towards a nearby phone booth to call her from there, when a black vigo stopped just before him. The window rolled down to reveal the face of a man in sunglasses and a black hat on top, “Hey, are you okay?”
• Tristan obviously looked peculiar walking to the phone booth in an expensive looking dress, everything on him telling on his richness.
