Chapter 16 The Apology

• As noon approached, Athena was so engrossed in her work that she forgot about the earlier incident. She didn't bump into either Amara or Richard again and assumed that the two of them had already left.
• She declined Polly's invitation to go out for lunch and headed to the restroom instead. However, as she emerged from the stall, she spotted Amara applying makeup at the sink.
• Athena was momentarily caught by surprise, her eyes darkening slightly as she approached the sink to wash her hands.
