Chapter 16 Ask his permission

  • I didn't go to work for three days after what transpired on Adams' Livestream. I couldn't handle the thought of confronting him with the humiliation I had put on him. It's like if I'm a teen who refuses to exhibit admiration after admitting it. I switched off my phone, so he couldn't contact me, and I felt a weight inside me, knowing he wasn't going to come to me. Maybe that's all he wanted from me — to engage in sexual activities.
  • I turned around in the hopes that he would simply happen to be next to me and spontaneously hug me. I'm currently visiting the Automated Teller Machine to check my pay. I'll check whether he compensated for the days I didn't come to work, and if the days I do arrive are quadrupled. I leaped for joy when the result appeared on the display because he was correct. As a result, my soul clapped. The only issue is that I'm not sure why I'm sad. Even though I am used to being alone, something is missing in my days.
  • I was furious since Adams didn't even bother to come to me despite knowing where I lived. I sighed as I pushed my head against the machine. Something touched me, and my heart pounded, and I came to life, but as I saw the other person, the butterflies in my stomach died as well.
