Chapter 65 Forbidden Desires

• The silence was loud as Mateo and I settled around the diner, each one of us minding his and her business while feeding on the lunch of cadaver in front of us. Even though, I was seated at the extreme end just exactly opposite Mateo, I could feel his dire need to want to say something. We literally haven't spoken since the day he granted me my freedom, it has just been a good morning, good night, go to the kitchen, make my meals and his and go back into my room kind of situation. I believe he was surprised yet happy to see me still around.
• He had pleaded with me to join him on the small mid sized diner in the living room. I obliged, especially after he fulfilled his promise of me meeting my mom. They seem to have made peace and my mom telling me she almost ran away after seeing Mateo again made me mad, somewhat. She obviously was still scared of him somehow.
