- The tension in the training grounds had settled after Lucian’s remark, but the air still carried the weight of unspoken challenges. Celeste stood a few feet away as she walked in, observing everything with a sharp eye. Rafael had stepped aside, watching her reaction, gauging how she adapted to her new environment.
- Lucian, still amused by the boastful warrior, leaned against a nearby post, arms crossed. “You should put that confidence to good use,” he said, smirking. “If your skills matched your mouth, I’d have you leading a squad already.”
- The other warriors chuckled, and the boastful one—Markus—rolled his shoulders, taking the teasing in stride. “I’ll prove it soon enough, Alpha,” Markus responded. “Just say the word.”
