• I strolled to a large wardrobe, going through some set of clothes on the racks. Jacques' quizzical gaze was still on me but I ignored it. If they are truly here to beg me into accepting Taylor's request to work with me, then they are wasting their precious time. Working with someone like Taylor would be the least thing on my mind.
• A sardonic smile tugged at my lips when I thought back to my past experience at the pack. Killian never treated me like his mate for once. He saw me as someone with no significance all because I'm an omega, or so they thought. Not only did he disregard me as his mate, but he also cheated on me and cast me behind bars, thinking I killed his father.
