• Shane’s voice was firm and strong, it was everything I needed right now. He grabbed my arm and walked through the house. His sister yelled at us as he pulled me along, but he didn’t pay her any mind. I did the same, I didn’t look at her. I’ve never been in his house. He pulled me through a door and I realized we were in his room. It was barren except for a bed in the corner and a small table by the window.
