Chapter 50

• Anna and the wolf sprinted towards the cave, the Shadow Beast hot on their heels. They reached the entrance just as the beast was about to pounce, and they ducked inside just in time.
• The cave was dark and musty, the air thick with the scent of damp earth. Anna's eyes adjusted slowly to the darkness, and she saw that the cave was small, with a low ceiling.
• The wolf was already moving deeper into the cave, its eyes fixed on something in the distance. Anna followed, her heart still racing from their narrow escape.
