• I smile the moment my eyes land on Ma, she is standing next to Alpha Drew and like him she is oblivious to the fact that I am driving the SUV. Callen has already pulled to a stop in front of the Pack-house and Captain Armand and Callen exit the SUV as I pull to a stop behind them.
• The moment Conri opens the door to get out of the SUV I see a look of fear in Ma’s eyes and I want to ask her what is wrong, but I don’t get the change as Dad shoves Conri out of the way. He walks up to Ma and when I hear him growl “Mine” my jaw drops.
