• Katherine’s head ached. She couldn’t tell how long she’d been down there. The days bled together, and she couldn't tell the night from the day and all through, food was passed to her in a tray, slid underneath the dungeon gates. But she couldn't bring herself to eat it even though it smelt good— looked good. It was left untouched and taken out the next day.
