Chapter 1 Slap
- The night shone at its peak, an enticing darkness scattered where one tends to attach hearts, there, a person with the most charming looks, eyes bluer than any blue, gleaming like sapphire was in a club.
- His club, to be exact.
- His soft raven locks were messy with a strong build up, fingers clasped around the glass with disappointment coating his husky resonance.
- "Ah.. what an alluring yet lonely night."
- His long sigh came, a smirk not leaving his lips.
- An appealing aura is always around him. A sly smirk spread upon his thick lips as his eyes searched around the club, for his source of pleasure.
- The Notorious Heartbreaker.
- Roy Layne.
- A 25 years old bachelor, the ruler of the hearts, the twister of words, the charmer.
- Famous for his attractive personality which made him a successful businessman, being at the center of attention always.
- Subsequently, due to his compelling appearance, it wasn't surprising to get approached as a woman came and was about to place her hand over his shoulder.
- "Hey, Handsome,"
- His smirk grew darker, holding her wrist, locking his blue eyes dangerously with hers.
- "Not you, Darling."
- She frowned to which he shifted and placed her into his laps, breathing heavily to murmur in her ears, moving his other hand proficient across her leg.
- But- "You worth more, Babe, far more,"
- She blushed at the compliment as he pressed himself into her, biting down her earlobe with a seductive whisper.
- "Way more than a mere night or few moments. Anytime you want,"
- How could he allow 'any' prey to escape?
- Ending with a smirk after blinding her in his spell, he gave her his card as she left shyly after he kissed her knuckles with a wink.
- "See you later,"
- Waving, the second she was out of sight, he scoffed, rolling his eyes.
- "Tsk, nuisance,"
- He knew he needed a stronger, unstoppable pull, the night was manipulating him to go beyond his habitual one-night stand and he found his prey.
- His eyes fell upon the main attraction of tonight.
- Garnet Beth.
- Unaware of the eyes capturing her grace, the 23 years old, emerald-eyed woman anxiously entered the club with her best friend, Lesley.
- "Lesley, I am telling you it's not a good idea. I have a job interview on Monday."
- Setting her brown hair, she formed her lips in a thin line, certainly not pleased with her friend for forcing her to party the day she left her orphanage.
- "Oh, Come on, Garnet, don't worry about it that much. You have finally left the orphanage. This is a moment of celebration! "
- She giggled and pushed her towards the counter, ordering them drinks.
- "My, my, how innocent,"
- The charmer took a shot of his drink, eyes scanning the timid lady, assuming it was the first time.
- Loud music and smoke in the air greeted Garnet. She inhaled the scent and turned her head to Lesley, swaying gradually along with the vibe.
- "Nostalgic, isn't it?"
- She breathed out, hugging herself before drinking her mocktail. Eyes scanning around, almost as if the club was too familiar.
- "Always be happy. I am with you, your future is waiting for you, Garnet,"
- Lesley advised with a grin, taking a shot of her tequila, lifting her spirits.
- "My future, huh? I guess you are right,"
- She chuckled gracefully, tugging a strand of her hair behind her ear, attracting the man who couldn't hear their talks but the softness etched on her.
- It was inducing strange feelings.
- 'Why are you holding such a face at my buoyant club, woman?' He thought, intrigued, eyes following her movements.
- The friends went to the dance floor and to lighten the heavy weight on her chest, Garnet decided to let loose.
- She put her hands in the air and began to dance, moving along the rhythm, dancing cheerfully along with the beat.
- A smile crept upon her lips as a tear pricked in the corner of her eye, she felt so mesmerizing, she felt.. Free.
- 'Lesley is right, this is the start of my new life, I should enjoy,'
- But she kept it inside her and continued to dance as a tear rolled, lips quivering slightly to remember her not-so-magnificent past yet pressing these thoughts behind.
- She held onto her determination and continued to dance, holding her head with tears shining on her soft cheeks.
- 'That's right, I won't let anyone steal this life away from me now.'
- His smirk grew sinister as he found his prey but to find those lips shaking caused his beautiful eyes to shrink.
- "Hmm? Anguish? In my club?"
- Finishing his drink in one go, he rose, slightly tipsy but thrilled to inquire how someone could be sorrowful in an enthusiastic place.
- When he walked close to her, he saw the tears glistening on her cheeks.
- 'So I wasn't imagining, they were tears after all,'
- Bewitched not just by her physical form but her aura too, which was emitting some deep grief and liberation.
- Out of curiosity, he found himself eradicating the distances, closer, closer, closer. He looked down at her as she seemed petite as compared to him.
- 'What a beautiful tear.'
- Thinking sincerely, he brought his hand close to her to wipe the tears present on her cheeks and spoke in his heavenly deep voice.
- "What deluged you in sorrows?"
- She stopped dancing and looked at him. She raised an eyebrow at him.
- "Huh?"
- She realized that she was crying as his hand was wiping her tears. She yanked his hand away and took a step back.
- "It doesn't concern you."
- Hissing angrily, she turned to leave but his body reacted on its own and he found himself capturing her in his proximity by gripping her wrist.
- She stopped and glared at him with a warning to back away as she wasn't in her senses anymore.
- Her night was ruined by memories already.
- "Don't bother me." She muttered, averting her gaze.
- Twisting her wrist, her body abruptly fell on his toned chest as she gasped when he held her waist firmly and brought his hand to caress her cheeks.
- "Why not, Dear?"
- "Am I not allowed to be intrigued by a unique crystal I just saw?" He teased her playfully, raising an eyebrow temptingly.
- His eyes stopped at her lips, sending a shiver down her spine to find their breaths blending.
- He didn't know what took over him as he found himself getting dazzled by her.
- "No. You are nobody to involve yourself in my matter."
- Leaning forward that her soft voice and panting was audible among the booming music.
- She unintentionally held his black shirt as her big emerald eyes flicker with innocence with a pound heart, drying her throat.
- She swallowed hard when his hand made contact with her cheeks, body tensing slightly when he stopped right at her ears.
- He whispered seductively, "I can become much more than that only if you allow me."
- The huskiness in his voice, made her body weak, her mind turning blind.
- The only thing enthralled him was the secrets she was hiding.
- Why shed a tear in his club? Why be sorrowful in his presence? Why such resistance?
- "What happened? Are you okay?"
- He leaned in close to her face as she turned her head away.
- "Get away." She said timidly.
- Her grip on his shirt tightened as his gaze traveled down to her hand which drew a tremble, causing her to turn senseless.
- A smirk playing along his thick lips, finding her demeanor, her confusion and worry, amusing.
- Turning her head away from him. He leaned in close to her, pressing his body against her.
- "What if I don't? I am not asking for much, a few words won't hurt, Dear. It will lighten your heart as well,"
- The strong smell of cigarettes reached Garnet as she grit her teeth and somehow felt courageous.
- "I said. Get away before I make you." She breathed out.
- "Quench my thirst of curiosity, I am not asking for much. Besides you are standing in my arena then as its owner, I couldn't let anyone leave with a sorrowful heart."
- He shrugged, not backing away, curling his lips upward for assurance but she was not ready to have any contact for now.
- "Get the hell away from me."
- Garnet snarled, trying to push him away. He didn't even flinch, smirk converting into a smile.
- A controlling one.
- She was the allure of tonight that means she will be his.
- But, when she was resisting firmly, he knew there was nothing much left.
- Exhaling at her attempt, Roy was about to pull away, obviously he couldn't force her.
- 'What a disappointment,' He thought and was about to unwillingly part his hands from her skin.
- "Huff, fin-"
- And finding another means of having her later because he wanted her and would do anything to attain her.
- But, Garnet lost her patience and did what she should to stop a stranger from interfering.
- She slapped him to make him get away.
- "Get away, asshole!"
- Yelling, she gained a fair portion of attention as he stood immobilized with wide eyes and dropped mouth.
- She narrowed her eyes at him as everyone turned their attention to see that the infamous personality was slapped by an ordinary girl.
- "Not every woman is a toy you can use to be intimate! Who the hell do you think you are!? Go to hell, You Bastard!"
- She yelled and pointed her middle finger at him in a contemptible way as he stood stunned.
- "I have no intention of wasting my time with a trivial man like you." She growled, staggering him and everyone.
- "Did you hear? She called him trivial,"
- "Is she doing this for attention?"
- "How can she slap him?"
- A series of whispering echoed, music stopped, everyone preferred to witness this sight more.
- She stomped her feet on the ground and turned and left the club beyond angry.
- The sound of whispers filled the club as Roy stood there absolutely stunned about what happened, that a woman could resist him and not just that-
- Slapped him.
- He touched his cheeks as he felt the stinging pain of her slap burning his fragile male ego, evoking the urge to make her pay for her action.
- "How dare she..."
- He cursed under his breath and walked out with a strong desire for vengeance for this slap which left him insulted before everyone.
- Initiating A Game Of Revenge.
