As soon as Peri entered Asher’s suite, he embraced and kissed her. She had decided to meet him that night, skipping classes altogether. She thought it was better this way. She had to end it now to save her from further misery and pain.
“I missed you so much, sweetheart! Why did you avoid me for over a week? Your father wouldn’t tell me anything. Even Maurice would just sigh and say nothing whenever I visit your house. You’re not even there. You didn’t even pick up my calls, and you didn’t respond to my texts.”
Peri stayed at Denize’s house most of the time, so she could just avoid seeing him.
