Chapter 2 Buy Me Some C*Ndoms
- I stood rooted to the spot, feeling as though the air around me had suddenly thickened, making even breathing difficult.
- I forced myself to take a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I told myself that Edward was treating me this way only because he had forgotten me. Once he remembered, we would return to the sweet relationship we had before.
- Then, a series of noises from upstairs startled me.
- I hurried upstairs, only to be left stunned by the sight in the master bedroom.
- Edward coldly tossed each piece of clothing and every belonging of mine into a suitcase without mercy, even throwing away the love keepsakes I had carefully arranged on the table.
- “Edward, what are you doing..."
- Looking at the scattered belongings, my hands instinctively clenched. I raised my head in disbelief to look at Edward, my voice already hoarse.
- Edward frowned, narrowing his eyes at me.
- “Adeline will be staying here, and I’m helping you move your things out. Can’t you see?”
- He said it as though it were the most obvious thing in the world.
- Then, he took a step back and raised both hands.
- “If you want to pack your things yourself, then hurry up. We need to get some rest early.”
- My heart throbbed painfully as I looked at Adeline’s smug face.
- This was the master bedroom Edward and I shared, a place filled with so many intimate memories of us. Every single item had been carefully chosen by both him and me.
- And now, he was casually throwing them away as though they were disgusting pieces of trash.
- My eyes burned, and I bit my lip hard, desperately holding back the tears that threatened to spill.
- “Edward..."
- Suddenly, Adeline tugged on Edward’s arm, her voice gentle.
- “Don’t make things difficult for Aurora anymore. She was probably forced into this by your mother..."
- On the surface, Adeline sounded as though she were explaining things on my behalf, but she was secretly provoking Edward.
- Edward’s gaze turned even colder, and his tone grew harsher.
- “Adeline, you don’t need to speak up for her.”
- He glanced at me and emphasized each word.
- “Hurry up and pack your things. Otherwise, don’t blame me for calling the maids and having them throw everything outside.”
- I bit my lip so hard that it bled. With no other choice, I bent down and gathered everything that belonged to me, carrying it out of the room.
- Edward quickly slammed the door shut, as though he couldn’t wait to get as far away from me as possible.
- That night, I moved into the guest bedroom next door. Lying on the unfamiliar bed, I couldn’t sleep at all.
- My mind kept replaying the scene of Edward kissing Adeline that afternoon. That gentle gaze, that protectiveness, everything that had once belonged to me was now being given to another woman.
- It was a long, sleepless night.
- By morning, I wearily left the room.
- The moment I stepped down the stairs, I saw Edward and Adeline embracing on the living-room sofa. Edward’s hand was wrapped tightly around Adeline’s waist, while Adeline’s arm was looped around Edward’s neck.
- They were pressed intimately against each other, kissing passionately and fervently. I could even vaguely hear Adeline’s sweet moans.
- “Edward, someone else is watching.”
- Adeline shyly hid herself in Edward’s arms, her cheeks flushed bright red like tomatoes.
- Edward turned his head back, and when he saw me, a flicker of disgust and irritation crossed his eyes at being disturbed.
- He lowered his head and gently kissed Adeline on the lips, smiling tenderly.
- “Don’t be shy, sweetie. She’s just an unimportant stranger.”
- He deliberately emphasized the words, making me freeze.
- “Hey!”
- He lifted his chin to call me over, then smiled faintly.
- “You came at just the right time.”
- He tightened his arms around Adeline, raising an eyebrow provocatively.
- “Go buy me some condoms.”
- While I stood there, stunned by the shock, he added,
- “I have something I need to do with Adeline, and I can’t conveniently go out right now. You know it..."
