Chapter 8 Bloodstained Ascension

  • "Sorry for not saying it sooner, the men we sent were disguised as rogues, their scent was hidden away from the reach of the vampires, so they cannot discover their true identity,"
  • Cai explained, knowing how ferocious the vampire king could be.
  • "Good, very good, so we have enough food for a sacrifice to the goddess and a full moon celebration," Vincent said, knowing they were safe from the vampire king's clutches.
  • "Yes, my king, regarding the new coronation of your son to ascend the throne and rule after you, I do not believe he will be capable enough to take over you, he does not have strong hands enough to govern the people, he does not appear ready to take over the throne, he only shows empathy to people he despises and love for people he loves, he will be a partial king."
  • Klaus stated, he was one of the Air Winder pack's quiet elders; he was quiet, but he observed everything that happened in the pack.
  • A very loud growl echoed throughout the room, causing everyone to look where it was coming from; it was Lucas, who had been quiet, listening to the men's boring discussions. But he was so intrigued by the vampire king because he had only seen him once, when he was fifteen, when the strong king had detached his father's arm, leaving him armless on the left arm, and he had promised to destroy the vampire king as a secret revenge. Now one of these old werewolves had challenged him, pointing out the flaws in him.
  • "Repeat your words warrior Klaus, and consider your head removed from your body," Lucas said, standing up, his eyes blazing with rage. The chief warrior was attempting to tarnish his image, telling him he was not the right king, he was not the right alpha, and how dare he drag his position with him.
  • "I repeat, Lucas, you are weak, you are unfit to be king, you are ruthless and arrogant, and putting pressure on the poor low werewolves is not the character of a ki."
  • Lucas let out a high-pitched scream. As he drew the sword of a guard standing beside him. He threw the sword, which landed on the chest of the chief warrior, pressing and pushing back out from his heart.
  • "King, you are wor...."
  • Klaus said as he fell on his knees, not expecting the alpha's son to kill him.
  • "th...less"
  • Klaus said, finally letting his final words escape his lips while still on his knees and with a little life left in him. Lucas approached him, his face dark with rage, his teeth heightened to that of an animal, and stopping in front of the half-dead chief warrior, he pulled the sword from Klaus's heart, raising it high in the air, he said, with unrefined rage.
  • "I will grant you your wish; hadn't I warned you?"
  • And with his words, he slashed the sharp sword at the warrior's neck. The warrior's head flew in the air before falling to the ground.
  • A heavy breath left Lucas' lips, he felt these powers resonate throughout his body, he raised his hands up, turning to look at the others who stood stunned at what the alpha's son had done, but alpha Vincent was not surprised.
  • Alpha Vincent was proud of his son; he was truly his own son, ruthless and a villain in the family.
  • "Who else wants to go back to the underworld with this man?"
  • "Who wants to challenge me and tell me how unfit I am to be king?"
  • Lucas yelled in the room, but everyone remained silent; no one was willing to lose their lives in the hands of the evil alpha's son.
  • "All right, now I'll show you how cruel I am. Beta Cai, take the warrior's body to his family and give him a proper burial; he had fought in battle and brought victory to the pack; too bad he had to die dishonorably," Lucas said, turning to face the beta, who bowed.
  • "Yes, alpha Lucas," Cai said, not daring to call the alpha's son by his name, not now that the alpha's son was insane.
  • Lucas nodded and dropped the sword to the ground, making a cringing sound. He exited the room, eager to prepare for the full moon festival; he couldn't wait to be the alpha. To show those cretins that he was a far superior alpha than his father.
