Chapter 53 A Twist Of Betrayal

After briefly counting the passing seconds, Bella abruptly opened her eyes. She surveyed the empty room, which was only filled with the faint chirping of birds outside the window. She squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, attempting to recall the events of the previous night. A gasp escaped her lips as she realized there was no way she could forget what had transpired. She hadn't been the one who was intoxicated, but rather the king. What on earth had she done? Bella groaned, tossing and turning on the bed, utterly clueless about what to do. It was inconceivable that she had engaged in such actions with him.
"Oh my, what have I done?" Bella moaned, striking the bed in frustration.
"What are you doing, hurting an innocent bed?" a voice scolded her. Bella looked up in surprise to see the queen standing a few feet away.
