- When I would press my husband for updates on his job search in the ensuing days and weeks, he was vague and kept saying there wasn't much out there despite a roaring economy. I was getting frustrated with him for breaking our agreement and then layoffs started happening in the tech industry which made it more unlikely that he'd find another job that paid as well as the one he had. That didn't stop me from reminding him of our deal.
