- I told him how I met Ralph, got married, how we saved up money to buy a house, and hoped to start a family soon. We were talking like old friends catching up after not seeing one another for a long time but there was that cloud of the expected sex after dinner that still hung over me. The closer we got to finishing our meal, the more nervous I got. I ordered dessert in order to stall the inevitable even though I wasn't hungry anymore. The only thing that kept me from being a total nervous wreck was the wine I had consumed.
