• David was in his elegant suit and tie. The impression of a sugar-daddy and his young sweet treat were enhanced by the way their hands did not keep to themselves. Both arrived early so they could explore the Blank together. Ever since her Dad's initial description of the Blank after his first closing with Sam, Rose was very curious about the place. The tales Ann told of their romantic dinner-for-two the previous week fired Rose's imagination even more. The look of the place fascinated and surprised Rose, she said there was no way to prepare anybody for the experience. Even without considering the extra-terrestial "look" of the staff, one had to wonder if it was crafted elsewhere and shipped to LA by Space X Cross-Dimensional Express.
• The Blank had an intimidating public area where people could meet, but a membership was required for access to the other areas, starting with the lobby that served both the hotel and the dining rooms. These were all considered private and restricted to members and their guests. The strict "no photography" rule was enforced, one had to sign a waiver before entering the elevator. David Barnes complimented the staff on the waiver, saying Judge Stern could not have done a better job.
• From what the layout showed, and the unlabeled areas it concealed, it was clear that there were many activities taking place at the hotel which were secret. The lobby included large flat screens with slideshows showing some of the past guests moving through the area. Many were stars and celebrities, but to Rose and her Father the most eye-catching were two pictures that included the mysterious Do Wong on her visit. In the posed "fashion" picture her look was striking, and her vapor-thin blue outfit - if the pair of extended sleeves could be called an outfit - looked far too indecent for the street, they could actually see her slit clearly. (It was indecent, but inside the private hotel they had different standards.) Rose was in awe of the girl and the decorations on her body, she thought a band-aid, cut in three parts would cover more intimate flesh. She said it made the "Green Dress" J Lo wore at the 2000 Grammy Awards in LA look positively Amish in modesty. There was second picture, a candid of celebrities in the atrium which caught Do Wong's back in the background. She was even more beautiful from that angle. David also noticed two of his law partners, they were with two women who were the wives of other partners, one of whom was a CPA who sometimes did forensic work for divorces. He made a mental note to have some conversations, as a managing partner he was always alert for changes like some of his staff jumping to start their own firm - and taking HIS clients with them.
