Chapter 2025 Another Kind Of Cock Life:>Ep3
- Dinner was uneventful, just getting to know our new friends a little better, searching for the bottom of one, and then later a second, bottle of wine. I explained our newly acquired homelessness and the desire to find a place away from the rat race, our only constraint being that, with my occasional need to travel, it would be better if I was somewhat close to an airport. They mentioned that they lived in a private gated community but didn't disclose much about their life without seeming to have hidden anything. We reiterated that we could move anywhere; in the city, in the country, in a private gated community, or to an upscale condominium -- money was of no concern.
- Getting ready to part ways after dinner Stephanie asked if they had anything planned for the following day. They said they didn't, probably just some beach time, but when we said we were going to drive to Hana along the famous coast road, and asked if they'd care to join us, they readily agreed that they would love to do that and put off going to the beach until another day.
- The Hana coast road was, as advertised, spectacular. We found a little restaurant for lunch in Hana, and then proceeded the few miles more to the ʻOheʻo Pools parking area. The rest of us thought it was spectacular, however Ted was disappointed. He told us how years before, as a teenager, he'd visited the area, also known as the Seven Sacred Pools, and had hoped to take us in as he had done so many years before. Hiking up through the cow pastures alongside the river and the multiple pools, he told how they had jumped from the cliff into one of the upper pools, floated and swam to the end of that pool, and then jumped into the next lower pool. Repeated several times, they'd eventually come to a cliff where a rope had been permanently affixed and climbed out. Now, with swimming banned inside the park, theoretically nobody was supposed to do this anymore -- another victim of over-popularity and over-usage. Regardless, the scenery was gorgeous and picturesque.
