• When Brian got to the farm at dawn he locked himself in his room and pondered over the event of the previous day- how he murdered and dumped the corpse of a man he took to be a stranger not knowing he was his father’s cousin. He wished he could turn back the hands of time; recognized him as a blood line and have him reported to his father for maltreating Ella rather than murder him in cold blood. But it was too late now. Thought of the photo he collected from his album struck in his head and he reached for his sleeves shirt, dug his hand into his breast pocket and slid out the photo. Impatiently, he sat right back on the sofa and stared at the photo, stroking the image and feeling guilty for murdering Ella’s husband. He wondered if he would ever forgive himself for committing an iniquity that would stick to him forever. And what about his father? He would cry ocean should he hear that his cousin was murdered and dumped into the lake by his son.
