• It was after three in the morning when I got home. I showered and still drying myself, started for my bedroom and sleep. I had just tossed the towel on the floor and was ready to jump into bed when somebody knocked on my door. I picked up the towel, wrapped it around my waist and opened the door.
• "We brought something to nibble on," said Ana as she brushed past me with Judy right behind her. They had both been in my apartment before and had, in fact, spent the night on different occasions.
