Chapter 197 There’s No Offending the Two Young Masters

  • “Oh, it’s nothing. I went to sign a contract, that’s all.”
  • “No, I can tell that there’s something up with you. What is it? Is there a problem with the contract? Didn’t I mention before there are things you aren’t equipped to handle? And you aren’t familiar with the inner workings of the business yet. Didn’t I tell you to let Adam take over if you run into any problems? He has more experience with these things than you do,” Lucas lectured, thinking that there really was an issue with the contract.
  • “No, don’t get me wrong—the problem isn’t with the contract. I happened to run into Iris downstairs before signing the contract.”
  • “Iris? Where did you see her? Was she downstairs at our building? Was she here to see me?”
  • Upon hearing that, Louis lifted his head and gave his brother an odd look. He couldn’t fathom how his brother could have lacked such self-awareness. Iris had long given up on him, but that didn’t seem to stop his head from swelling. One could even say that he looked pleased with himself.
  • “Snap out of your wet dreams, Lucas. I ran into her at the entrance of the opposite company earlier.”
