Chapter 4 Knocking Out Her Husband In The Front, Sleeping With Her Uncle In The Back?

  • When Julian said, "Come back and stay for a few days," the words were not loud, but they made Lila's ears buzz.
  • The atmosphere in the living room also paused for a moment.
  • Emma's surprise on her face was almost like an illusion, but she quickly put on a gentle smile.
  • "Ah Julian is coming back to stay? That's great, Dad has been talking about you." Her tone sounded quite natural, as if it were just a casual greeting.
  • The young maid who came out with supper again lowered her head, her hand shaking as she carried the soup, and gently placed the sweet soup in front of Lila on the coffee table, then quickly retreated without daring to make a sound.
  • Lila picked up the bowl, the warmth of her fingertips calming her slightly.
  • She lowered her eyelids, her long eyelashes hiding the turbulent thoughts in her eyes, sipping the soup slowly and trying to appear calm.
  • Come back and stay for a few days?
  • Why now of all times?
  • With him back, she would have to be even more cautious in the days to come.
  • Julian casually sat on the sofa, his rolled-up sleeves revealing his strong forearms, his gaze on his phone like an invisible net, suffocating Lila.
  • She tightened her fingers around the spoon, the sweet soup in her mouth suddenly tasteless.
  • Emma and Julian chatted about daily life, company matters, and Grandpa Morgan's health in a somewhat disconnected manner.
  • Julian's responses were indifferent, occasionally just making a sound of agreement, showing no emotion.
  • The living room was so quiet that it made people feel uneasy.
  • Lila was starting to feel a bit restless.
  • She gently placed the soup bowl down, the bottom of the bowl making a faint sound as it touched the coffee table.
  • "Mom, it's getting late, I'm a bit tired and want to go back to rest." She stood up, a hint of weariness on her face, speaking respectfully.
  • Emma nodded, "Go ahead, let Ana take you back and rest well."
  • Lila nodded slightly towards Julian, "Goodnight, Uncle."
  • Only then did Julian move his gaze away from the phone screen and look at her.
  • His eyes were calm, but Lila couldn't help but feel a chill down her spine.
  • "Goodnight," he said in a low voice.
  • Ana led the way in front, through the long corridor, to the so-called bridal chamber.
  • It was simple in decoration, lacking in warmth, more like a guest room.
  • As soon as Ana left, Lila immediately closed the door and locked it.
  • She didn't rush to rest, but carefully scanned the entire room, behind the curtains, under the bed, even the base of the lamp on the table was touched, not missing any corner.
  • After confirming that the room was clean and there were no "eyes" or "ears" hidden, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
  • After a long day of filming, she felt like falling apart.
  • She quickly removed her makeup, changed into her cotton pajamas, and then threw herself onto the somewhat hard bed.
  • Closing her eyes, her mind was in a mess, and she forced herself to fall asleep quickly.
  • After some time, in a daze, she heard a faint "click" from the door lock.
  • Lila suddenly opened her eyes, and in the darkness, every sound seemed particularly clear.
  • The door was pushed open, and a strong smell of alcohol mixed with a strange perfume rushed in. Following closely behind, Andrew staggered into the room.
  • Muttering some unclear name in his mouth, he stumbled towards the bed, "Baby... I missed you so much..."
  • The smell made Lila momentarily confused.
  • Without dodging, just as Andrew was about to press down on her, she lifted her elbow up, and at the same time, her other hand turned into a knife hand, accurately chopping at the back of his neck.
  • The movement was fast and fierce.
  • Andrew didn't even groan, his body just went limp and fell onto the carpet beside the bed, motionless.
  • Lila sat up, shook her head, trying to sober up.
  • Something was wrong.
  • A scorching heat suddenly burned from deep within her body, her throat felt tight and dry.
  • Things in front of her also began to sway, everything she saw was accompanied by a blur.
  • She tried to stand up by leaning on the edge of the bed, but her legs felt weak and she almost fell.
  • What's going on? Was there something wrong with the smell on Andrew's body? Or did she eat something unclean at the banquet?
  • Lila thought of the bowl of soup the maid had just handed her, and the butler she saw earlier, sneaking upstairs while talking on the phone. She could’ve sworn she heard him say excitedly to the person on the other end, “It’s done.”
  • Damn it!
  • Lila's heart sank, this feeling... she was drugged.
  • She leaned against the wall, slowly made her way to the door, her body getting hotter, her mind getting heavier, just wanting to leave the room quickly.
  • With a creak, the door was pulled open a crack.
  • The light from the corridor came in, outlining a tall and slender figure.
  • Against the light, the face was unclear.
  • Who was it?
  • Before she could finish that thought, the intense heat in her body completely burned away her reason.
  • Lila almost impulsively pounced forward, grabbing the collar of the person's shirt tightly.
  • She stood on her tiptoes, urgently pressing her burning lips against theirs.
  • The material of his shirt was stiff, with a hint of coolness, mixed with the clean scent of cedar and tobacco on his body, making her feel a little better but also more eager.
  • That scent... it was so familiar. It smelled just like her uncle-in-law.
  • She didn’t have time to think. Desire had already shattered her restraint.
  • Her hand moved lower, bolder.
  • "Give me more," she whispered.
  • She could feel the other person's body tense instantly, as if even his breathing had stopped for a moment.
  • After what felt like forever, a searing kiss landed on her lips.
  • A pair of hands slid down to her hips, gripping her firmly.
  • The man squeezed her ass, and Lila let out a soft gasp—
  • She could feel his excitement growing.
  • Through the haze, she vaguely heard him murmur,
  • "As you wish."
