"Is that so, little kitten? You show us your claws, and when that doesn't work you try to act all soft and cute? You show your belly and pretend it is safe to pet?" Bear asked with a curt laugh as he stepped forward, getting as close to Faye as he could under the restraint of his chains.
Faye frowned a little at the question, some of her confidence leaking away. Bear obviously was enjoying the show she was putting on, but he wasn't at all convinced by it. But it had changed something in him at least. There wasn't the open hostility in his voice that had been there before, and he wasn't hurling insults at her. He was definitely playing nicer with her, and that gave her hope. She turned to Red, wondering if there had been a change in him as well.
Red stared back at Faye, a curious look on his face. He seemed to be studying her, and taking in more than just her luscious curves and delicate skin. His eyes drilled into her soul, examining her motives and desires. Though Red hadn't said a single word yet, and he had reacted the least out of all people she had interrogated. His simple gaze was the most powerful response Faye had ever felt.
