By the time I looked back to Mackenzie she had made up her mind, resolving the conflicting desires within her. She looked at me with a hardened resolve, and she appeared determined to push past her inner dislike of me. Placing her hands on my shoulders she tried to shove me back towards an empty couch.
"Sit down, dork. I've got a plan, and if you don't mess it up then we can get this over with fairly quickly." Mackenzie told me, her voice rather stiff and lacking the warmth of her soft whispers when she had kissed me.
She kept pressing on my shoulders, trying to guide me back, but I stayed still. I was much taller and bigger than her, so no matter how hard she tried she didn't move me an inch. Mackenzie responded by glaring with irritation at me, but I just smirked back at her.
