Chapter 27

• Frozen in time by his words, Tracy couldn't move. Nor could she utter a word. She felt like her whole world just caved in as the truth came out of his mouth. At first, she pondered on whether this was an elaborate trick for her to believe him. So that she could set him free. Anyway, people will say anything when they're about to die. How was this case any different?
• "What are you talking about?" Tracy summoned the courage to ask him a direct question. She moves even closer to look him in the eye. To know whether it was true or not. She was in close proximity to Frank. One single reach and she was his prisoner. The two henchmen sensed the danger and moves towards Tracy, trying to approach her. But she waves a hand, signalling them to stop. And gives them a mid which says "I have it all under control."
• Unexpectedly, Frank doesn't attack. He slumps to the ground, having depleted his energy. He couldn't stand anymore. The poison had began to take effect over him. His whole body began to shake. Sweating like he was fresh out of the oven. Frank managed to relax his head on the side of the van, slowly massaging his hand which was temporarily unable to move.
