Chapter 18
- At the break of dawn, as the sun hung very low over New Summer, Denver. Heather helps Vakey to walk up to the front door of the house by the road with his arms over her shoulders. The house was painted white. There was a swing on the lovely porch that was scattered with leaves. The wind howled as birds chirped in the woods, starlings to be exact. All points leading that this was a haunted house, but what other choice did they have?
- Heather squeezed her face and cast a sideway look at Vakey, indicating the house gave her creeps. Perturbed, they begin to climb the stairs slowly. Instantly, a clicking sound is heard from behind. They freeze. "Uh - oh," Heather thought. As they turned around at the same time to see a man in his mid - forties wearing a checkered T-shirt and denims. He had dark hairs, beards and an oval shaped face. Revealing he had a shotgun that is aimed at them.
- "Stop right there!" The man shouted, in a harsh tone. "You're trespassing. This is a private property."
