Chapter 5 WORK

  • I rolled my eyes—how stupid of you, Azeria! You should only come here at night; for what it's worth, you won't encounter any jumpier people!
  • "Are you killing me in your mind?" I gulped, not because I was trying to be cute with him. Yes! I admit he's handsome, but I swallowed because he hasn't come down yet. He's sitting in front of you with his arms folded; just one wrong move and he'll fall!
  • "Can you come down so we can talk properly?"
  • "Why did you think I wanted to talk to you?" he asked, his eyebrows raised. My mouth fell open at what he said, and I gasped. I've only just met this person, Azeria, who breathes deeply.
  • Inhale, exhale If you don't extend your patience with this man, he might disappear from the list of people living in this world! I stopped in the inhale and exhale session when I realized something, and I stared at him.
  • His face is very relaxed, as if there are no worries or problems. And he had been insisting that he wouldn't kill himself, so when I convinced myself that he wouldn't do something, I immediately turned my back on him.
  • "Where are you going?"
  • I stopped walking and looked at him. I raised an eyebrow at him.
  • "I'm leaving; I don't want to get infected with the disease you carry." And I think it was mentioned earlier that if you won't jump, then there's no reason for me to stay here. "I might go completely crazy.”
  • "What did you say?" "Crazy about me?" This laugh made my jaw drop. I was immediately shocked and faced him properly.
  • "The wind was already strong; you made it even stronger." "I hope this will be the last time we meet, mister." "I might be swept away forever!”
  • I was just that nervous when he jumped and went down. I only backed away when he was walking towards me or when he was in front of me. I had to look up because of his height; I was ashamed of my height. My head just fell back when he bent down and stared at my face. I blinked.
  • "W-what are you doing?" "I stuttered," he said. He smiled at me, and when he smiled, it was as if I had vanished. I shook my head. "What are you talking about, Azeria?" Don't worry!
  • "Your eyes were beautiful; I want to open mine every morning."
  • "W-what?"
  • It stands up well and is smooth. His smile is back, and his attitude is new. Wait, did Lucas know this person? That's why I'm forced to go to this place, maybe.
  • "Next time, make sure our paths don't cross; you said you might be swept away forever." "Know that you will be swept away from my cousin's residence, and that is your fate." He awoke possessed. After he said those words to me, he left without saying a word. I blinked for a few moments, slowly digesting what he said, and when I got it, my eyes widened.
  • "What a gag!" I hit my forehead and held my breath. Ha! Does he think I will let myself be swept away from his cousin's residence? Maybe his fate will be to slap me!
  • I wasn't in the mix when I entered Papa's ward; I even caught up with Red, who was currently peeling apples. He looked at me for a moment and returned to what he was doing; my eyes just went to dad's behavior when he asked.
  • "Why are your eyebrows raised, Azeria?" "Did something happen?"
  • I shook my head and sat next to him. Red approached me and held out the peeled apple, which I immediately gave to Papa, who took it.
  • "I just met someone who was not himself." The father immediately frowned at what I said.
  • "Did he do something to you?" worried here. I shook my head and smiled at him.
  • "No, dad, I'm fine." "Are you feeling all right?” I'm getting off-topic.
  • "Tomorrow I will be able to go out, but according to the doctor, I still need to rest." "It's good and comes back," he sighed, which surprised me.
  • "Is there anything wrong?" He shook his head and took me by the hand.
  • "Do you want to be here in Manila?" I nodded. "You know I'm accustomed to the hacienda hija, so I'll rest there.""And just as you want, you prefer to stay here in Manila; I will not oppose you because I have already allowed you to work here."
  • I didn't expect what he said, and yes, he did allow me to work here. But I had no idea it still preferred the hacienda...I thought it would follow me. Maybe it's funny if others hear it because, as I said, my father is the one who stood up for my mother and father. So I expected him to agree, but only if he came along, but I was mistaken.
  • "Are you okay, dad?" "Are you going to leave me alone here in Manila?” I will make sure. He smiled at me and stroked my hair.
  • "You look like your mother," he sighed. "I know this is what he wants too; he doesn't want you to stay at the hacienda, Azeria. "You are free to do whatever you want, hija, just don't get married early."
  • “Daddy!” I disobeyed, and he laughed. And when I saw his laugh again, my fear disappeared. Not in a new place where I'm afraid; I'm afraid to leave my father alone, so I hesitate. But I saw that his face was truly peaceful, and that's when I decided that I was going to live in Manila.
  • Now I have a view of the small building, but according to Lucas, this company is rebounding. Time flies, and now I will start working. Just like my dad said, the next day he was released from the hospital. In the past two days, we spent time bonding, and when that moment was over, we drove him to the airport with my cousins, and he left me with memories.
  • Anyway, I was happy, and I'm even happier now because my wish has come true. As per Lucas' instruction, his friend was waiting for me at the entrance.
  • “Miss Constantine?” It's still a question. He assured me, and when I nodded, his mouth opened, and he was staring at me. He tasted it when he saw me watching him in wonder, scratched his head, and laughed a little. "I'm sorry, I just didn't think that Lucas' cousin was this beautiful." "No wonder, so it's okay if it threatens me."
  • "Lucas did that?" I couldn't stop exclaiming because of the shock. He nodded, and I don't know if Lucas does such a thing. Out of the three of them, I'm only sure of Red when asked who is more serious. It's also inherited because my uncle Andrius has all the habits, so I'm just amazed by what I heard.
  • "Good morning." "We still have time to familiarize ourselves with the place.”
  • It was a good suggestion, and I thought I was ahead of others. I didn't think there were others earlier; we are currently in the HR Department, where Lucas's friend Ricky belongs. He introduced me to the people he always hangs out with and his friends, and they welcomed me with ease. That's fine, so I won't have a hard time on my first try.
  • "There are many who have not been able to stay with our big boss for a long time because of his rudeness!" "So, if I'm yours, just attract me to your beauty so that we can be sure that you will last!" Marie promised without a break.
  • "Hey, Maria!" What kind of devilry are you talking about there, and why have you given up flirting with me, sir? with me, sir?" Erissa shouted. I couldn't help but cringe at what I heard; I was even surprised when someone grabbed my arm. When I looked at Jonalyn, she smiled sweetly at me, but I doubted her smile and what she said. I read it right.
  • "You can grab Constantine right away. "Sir, don’t just get drunk." "So, get drunk with your kiss!” He and Maria laughed at the same time.
  • "Get ready there!" Maybe someone will overhear you and report us to Sir!And then don't poison this Constantine's mind; you are no longer ashamed! Ricky preached. Maria blushed and came to me.
  • "Are we offending Constantine?" I blinked. I pointed to myself when Maria nodded, and I scratched the side of my forehead. They were all waiting for my answer. I was about to answer when Julie came running in, and if something was signaled, it caused them to immediately return to their tables.
  • "What's up?" I whispered to Ricky. We were still standing in the middle, unlike the others who were busy all of a sudden.
  • "The CEO of the company has arrived. and I will take you to your own office." "Where is the office of our CEO?"
  • The CEO and I will probably be in the same space because I will be his secretary. But from what I discovered about his bad habits, I felt like I regretted saying no to my cousin Theo's offer.
  • "Is he there?" I asked Ricky when we were in my office. He nodded, so I stared at the door.
  • "At times like these, he gets coffee." "You'd better taste him first, then I'll introduce you."
  • And that's exactly what I did: I didn't add creamer, just coffee and sugar, as instructed.Ricky knocked first, and I almost dropped my coffee when I heard his voice.
  • "Come in!"
  • Ricky pushed the door, and he entered first, and I followed. My eyes immediately flew to my future boss, but he was busy filing some papers. That's why its sharp nose caught my eye; it frowned, and you could tell there was something you didn't like about the paper in front of you.
  • "What is it?" he asked, but he was still bowing. He didn't even bother to look up; he was rude.
  • "Sir, the one who will be your secretary is here and has passed the screen—"
  • “Get out!” he shouted, and Ricky and I jumped at the same time. I looked at Ricky with a questioning face, and he shook his head and whispered to me.
  • "I'll leave you alone, as long as you follow his orders." I watched in amazement as he approached the CEO's table, and he put down my resume that he had mentioned earlier, and he left me without looking back.
  • What was that? I looked down at the coffee I was holding and took a deep breath before approaching his table. Right, give the coffee first and then introduce Azeria. I put the coffee on his table, and he still didn't say a word, so I had no choice but to go back to where I was standing earlier. I can't leave right away; he doesn't say anything. I follow his every move. So, when his eyes landed on my resume, I was surprised when he dropped the ballpoint pen and grabbed my resume angrily.
  • “Midori Constantine Tacata?” it calls my name.
  • "Yes sir!" I answered immediately, so he looked at me. Fortunately, I had already given him his coffee, but I might have dropped it when I saw his face. "You!" I pointed, and his eyebrows met. "You're the man at the hospital, aren't you?" "The one with the jump?” I said and twirled the finger that was on the side of my head to emphasize the word "salt."
  • "Excuse me?" He said it rudely, but I looked him in the eye and folded my arms.
  • "Ha! I can't believe we met again. What did you say again? Next time, make sure our paths don't cross; you said you might be swept away forever. You're going to be swept away from my cousin's house, and "that's your fate," I sneered."I doubt it, if this can be called a coincidence.""Did you plan it?" And for your information, it will never be my fate to be swept away from your cousin's house! "Maybe my fate will be a slap!" he said rudely. His face palmed me, and I was nervous when he grinned, but his grin seemed different from the one he had when I stared at him that day.
  • "What did you say?" You're going to hit his cousin? "For what reasons?” It leaned on the swivel chair.
  • "Because you're stupid, and I know your cousin is stupid too, but you're different!" No brakes, I promise. He laughed to my surprise, but when his laughter quickly disappeared, his dark eyes became darker as well.
  • "Are you here for work or not?" it asked me, colder than ice. So, I swallowed hard and bit my lip. You're really stupid, Azeria! The CEO is in front of you; he will be your boss!
  • "S-sir..." I stammered.
  • "Are you one hundred percent sure I'm the person you belong to?" I was confused by his question.
  • "Y-yes..." I stammered. I can't be wrong; he's the guy I met on the rooftop. But... I also noticed that there was something different; the aura of the person in front of me was more intimidating compared to the windy person on the rooftop that I met. I was going to say that he was also wearing a patient's clothes that day, but we just got bumped by the noisy person who came in, and when I looked back there, my jaw dropped.
  • "Hey bro!" he greeted, and when he looked at me,
  • "You!" We pointed at each other with wide eyes.
