Chapter 4 WEIRDO

  • As my mother, Roda, said, she did not let me travel. That's why I traveled in the afternoon; it was already dark when I arrived in Manila. Visitor hours are over, so calling my cousins was the only update I got from the hospital. If that's the case, I'll be able to see my dad tomorrow.
  • Lucas was watching over dad when he was on the trip, and he told me to go straight to his unit. He also told me the password for his unit, so I was able to get in easily while my two cousins just visited the hospital. They are also busy, so it's a good thing, and even though Lucas is also busy like them, he decided to stay with the papa, so somehow my fear was alleviated.
  • "I'm not sure why the hospital didn't call you, which is understandable because you're far away in an emergency like this, they'd look for someone relatively close by," I inquired.
  • "They say that Uncle's companion has a couple; that's why I'm wondering." The woman said that she should call me because her son is not in Manila. which is you, but the strange thing is that they vanished when I arrived." He sighed. I heard the wind blowing on the other line; it was currently on the rooftop of the hospital.
  • "I asked the front desk if they left anything as they contacted us, but they said there was nothing when they signed it; they said it wasn't them. So, I have no idea; I don't want to intrude on the privacy of the hospital, you know what I mean," the CCTV refers to this privacy."Besides, the director here at the hospital might wonder if I do that; there's no need to know who Azeria is." "The important thing is that your father is fine; let's just thank the people who helped him."
  • Lucas is right—the important thing here is that the pope is in good condition. I was blown away. I don't know why I'm doing this; it's like I have a bad hunch. Yes, the father is in the hospital, and I know he is fine, so I don't know where the strange feeling is coming from.
  • "I feel weird." "Why do I feel this way, Lucas?"
  • "Azeria, everything will be fine; maybe it's just you suddenly." "It's getting late; you should rest, and tomorrow you will visit Uncle so that the strange feeling you feel will be removed."
  • "Perhaps I'll lose you when I see the father," I grumbled. "All right, I'll go there early tomorrow; don't even bother buying breakfast." "I'll cook; I'll bring breakfast tomorrow," he said as he took a breath. "Why?" "Is there a problem?"
  • "Please, Azeria... cook, because I don't like the food outside or in the hospital canteen." I shook my head and laughed. From his voice, I could tell what he looked like.
  • Sometimes in the hospital, the food is like the food that is given to the patient, but for me, it doesn't seem like it. Of course, you are in the hospital, and your mind, every smell, and every taste can be compared to the hospital.
  • "You should sleep too." "I will hang up now; take care there.”
  • "Hmm."
  • I ended the call. If Lucas had a funny attitude, he wouldn't let him end the call first. ' You should hang up now. I said this to him one time, but he answered, "You should hang up first; I should be the one who hangs up, and I'm not the one who hangs up." I'm used to Azeria, so you should be trained too because everyone is used to me, so I'm used to it. Strange, perhaps, but that's his journey; we all have ours.
  • The next day I woke up early to prepare the breakfast I promised; luckily Lucas' refrigerator was full. I prepared a simple sunny-side-up egg and bacon; I also made an egg sandwich for myself. When I arrived at the hospital, I caught Theo leaving.
  • "I came by because I have a business trip abroad and it will take a few weeks; I'll just come back next time." Theo.
  • "You don't have to." "I shook my head," he said.
  • "I'll just give you a welcome, huh," he said, peeking behind me. So, I looked behind me; he was looking at his grumpy secretary. "All right, I'll be the first to go with you, and maybe you'll even hit my secretary." He winked, so I laughed and nodded.
  • "All right, be careful."
  • I watched him run to the car; he's the boss, but his secretary is even more bossy—a different class. I immediately entered the hospital while I was walking in the hallway. I stopped suddenly and peeked into a room where I heard the gentle cry of a baritone voice.
  • "Why didn't you just take me with you if you were going to kill yourself?"
  • The one who is confined is being bullied. I couldn't see enough of the patient himself, who was being bullied by the man. And when it was time, I was immediately taken aback because his eyes were mine and his forehead was still wrinkled. Before the eyes of the man who was shouting even landed on me, I immediately left.
  • What the hell is Azeria? Why did you stop going gaga? You might even say that you're nosy! I shook my head and clutched my chest in shock.
  • "What the hell, Lucas!" Why are you there? It's like you don't know!"
  • "I've been watching you here for a while now; what gossip did you catch?"
  • "Yes! "Stop right there so others can hear you," I refused to obey."And why are you here, by the way, papa?"
  • "Sleep more," he said, looking at what I was holding, so I gave it to him. "I'm making the most of the few nights I've been awake." It is said that tomorrow he might be able to go out. I nodded and looked at him in surprise as he playfully smiled at me.
  • "Why?"
  • "Who are you looking at?" "Is Azeria your sweetheart?" It was teasing, so I hit him on the arm.
  • "Stop it! I only peeked because it was screaming, "I don't intend to watch and listen for a long time!"
  • "Okay, you said, as long as it's fine if you take a peek later, I'll take care of an uncle." It's still annoying.
  • "It didn't say!" I will try. "It's up to you!" I immediately turned my back on him and opened the door. The father was in a private room, and I thought that what had happened was bad. Fortunately, and by the grace of God, nothing bad happened here; otherwise, I would have gone crazy. I found dad still fast asleep, just like Lucas said. I didn't wake it up; I want it to rest well.
  • It's a good thing that you decided to give Nashe the position to hold the hacienda. I'd rather not get tired of what happened here. I know she will support me if I tell her here that I will work, money is not a problem, and health is of course more important.
  • I just want it to be nothing to worry about, so I'll probably go to work. Like I said, I don't plan to handle the hacienda. And I don't plan to work for my own family company either.
  • "You haven't eaten yet, have you?"I shook my head and glanced at him.
  • "Later, I will share with the father."
  • I sighed and stared at Dad. Why did he leave the hacienda if he knew I would be back in the morning? And who is the girl he earned? Is it so important to not tell me this at all?
  • "Just ask your uncle if it's really fine, Aze." According to the doctor, your father also has severe stress. So, it's better if you just throw a lot of questions at him when he regains his former strength."
  • I didn't say anything because he was right. I don't want to surprise the father; I think my questions will stress him out. As planned, I informed him of my desire to work here, and he did not refuse. In the next minute, Papa was shot with blood, so I immediately went out and decided to visit his so-called rooftop.
  • I forced him to go home first. I didn't want to, but, in the end, I was the winner, and a strong wind immediately greeted me when I reached the rooftop. That's why I immediately smiled at this fresh delivery, but my face was just like that when I saw the man who was planning to kill himself.
  • When he stood up, my mouth opened, and I fell to the floor... I think he was about to jump.
  • “H-hey,” but with the weakness of my voice. The wind just blew my words away. "h-hey! What are you planning to do? "You will be guilty of that!”
  • That was the loudest I've ever yelled in my entire life. It immediately turned to me, and I was stunned when it frowned. Am I wrong?
  • "What do you think I'm planning to do, Miss Intruder?" Its voice is cold. And the color of its eyes is also clear—brown. But in his gaze, it was as dark as a cloud, and he stopped it from planning. He is still angry! another class too.
  • "Aren't you going to kill yourself?"
  • "Are you asking me or are you pushing me to do it?" My eyes immediately widened when he said this.
  • “Do I look like I want you to jump?" "I don't like it!" I will defend you immediately. Why does it make me look bad?
  • It turned its back on me, so I stepped forward in no time. I thought it was going to jump, but it just sat down. I was held by the chest; there are many places where he can sit, even if it is dangerous, he prefers it! Where is this person from?! Isn't that crazy? Is that why Lucas is teasing me to come here because of this person? Is it like what is happening now—meaning my cousin also witnessed this person commit suicide?
  • I looked at him, and I was just surprised that he was staring at me intently. I don't know if I saw it wrong, but I think the corner of his lips rose. He seemed to be happy, and in his current form, he was like a demon who had escaped from hell.
  • "Why are you here?" I even pointed out to myself that if it was me, he was asking. And when he stopped talking, who else was he going to ask Azeria? You two are the only ones here!
  • "Breathe fresh air, but this is bad air," I promise. I was telling the truth, but the jerk just laughed at me. Little did I know that when I returned to Manila, I would meet someone like him. Weird.
