Chapter 2 I'm Tired Of Loving You

  • Rodleigh's Point of View :
  • I was busy kissing Thalia when my friend, Jacob, called me.
  • "Babe, can I take this call?" I asked her permission.
  • "Sure babe, just hurry up, okay?" she said softly before giving me a kiss on the lips. Damn! This woman, she's driving me crazy with her kisses.
  • "Go ahead, Babe! Answer that first, it might be important," she winked at me before pushing me sexily. I chuckled because of what she did.
  • "You're disturbing me, Chua! Are you even aware of that?" I immediately opened up to him after I pressed the answer button of his call.
  • "Psh!" Because of his opening I smiled.
  • "What is it, Chua? Do you want a girl? I'll send you—"
  • "Damn you, Rod!" he said angrily then he hung up the phone on me.
  • "What's his problem with me?" I just asked myself before I was shaken. I was about to walk into the resthouse when I received a call from Manang, my housekeeper. This is not the plan of my good wife, Cianna, is it? To intentionally disturb me and Thalia? Because when I just found out that she really planned it all, I will kill her!
  • "S-sir Rod . . ." Her voice is shaking. It was as if she was terrified.
  • "What's with the drama, Manang?" I asked her annoyed on the line.
  • "Ma'am Cianna is—"
  • "Stop it, Manang! I don't have time for that woman's cruelty! Bye!" Out of annoyance so I dropped it off the call. I even shut my phone down to make sure there was no real disturbance on my date with Thalia.
  • It's our fvckin' anniversary for Pete's sake! I don’t have time for them. All I care is that I'm with the woman I love right now.
  • Cianna's Point of View :
  • "Ma'am Cianna, please don't leave. Sir Rod will be angry with you," Manang stopped me. But my decision was final. I want to leave Rod. Not because I no longer love him, but because he no longer has respect for how I feel and myself as a woman.
  • "Manang, you know what's going on with Rod and me, don't you?" I gently wiped the tears that were dripping from my eyes. I don't want to show manang that I'm hesitant about leaving Rod's house. I want to show her that my decision is complete and that she will never stop me.
  • "He's been cheating on me over and over again! I'm so tired! So please, don't stop me!"
  • After I said that to Manang, she slowly released me in my arms.
  • "Be careful ma'am Cianna, promise me that you will take care of yourself. I will miss you, for sure." Manang said crying.
  • When manang removed her hand from my car window, I closed it and started the car's engine.
  • I wiped away my tears before I started operating my car.
  • A few minutes before I left when I received a call. I immediately answered it while driving.
  • "Cianna what's happening to you?" It was Jacob's worried voice.
  • "W-what do you mean?" I asked him as I am trying to calm my voice so that he'll not notice that I am crying right now.
  • "God Cianna! Lower your fvckin' speed limit! It's dangerous to you and your baby!"
  • I seemed to be back in my senses when I heard the word ‘baby’ that Jacob last mentioned.
  • It was only then that I realized that I was about to fly my car at high speed. I parked my car next to it while crying.
  • "Baby, I'm sorry, I'm sorry if your mom's so stupid, okay? I'm sorry, I almost forgot that you were in my tummy." I cried talking to my stomach as I sniffed it.
  • A series of knocks on the car window took my attention away from the baby in my womb. When I opened it my eyes almost widened.
  • It's . . .
  • "What the hell are you doing with your life, Cianna?"
  • It's him, Rodleigh.
  • I tried to close the car window again but it was too late because Rod had already inserted his hand inside. He choked me and almost knocked me on the steering wheel of my car.
  • "You ruined my date, Cianna! You ruined our anniversary date!" he shouted in my face before he tightened his grip on me. There! He admitted for the first time that he's really cheating on me.
  • "R—Rod!"
  • I tried to beg him to let me go because I couldn’t breathe, but I couldn’t do that because of the extreme tightness of his strangulation.
  • Until I gradually felt dizzy and drowsy.
  • Rodleigh's Point of View :
  • I was restless so I turned on my cellphone again. I was like, ‘WTF’ after I saw a series of reminders on my phone.
  • It's saying that Cianna's using her car. That was the first reminder that I got from my phone.
  • Second on later, it's saying again that Cianna's overspeeding in her driving.
  • That's when I finally got worried so I left Thalia without warning. Even though I hate Cianna she is still my wife in law, so I will still responsible if anything pleases her badly.
  • Because of the GPS I was able to quickly track her car.
  • My phone was right, she was driving her car too fast.
  • Is she committing suicide? Damn her! With so many things she can do, why on the hi-way? Is she out of her mind? Damn!
  • I breathed a sigh of relief after I saw that she had parked her car to one side, away from the road itself.
  • It was only then that I felt so angry. When I saw her stopped. I quickly parked my car and knocked repeatedly on her car window.
  • Because of the extreme anger I felt when she ruined my date with Thalia, that's why I strangled her.
  • I don’t care if I kill her. I'm not just angry. I'm very mad.
  • When I saw that she had lost consciousness, I just let her go. I quickly got her out of her car and put her in my car.
  • When we got home, she regained consciousness.
  • "Why did you take me home? I want to leave, Rod! I want to leave your life! I'm tired! I'm so tired of loving you!"
  • I was stunned by what she said. My reaction was shock so I did not recover immediately.
  • "What did you say, again?" I asked her with disbelief.
  • "I'm tired of loving you!" she shouted it to me coldly.
  • I don’t know but she only increased the hatred I feel for her. I was about to slap her when;
  • "Hurt me again and I'll sue you!" I was completely softened by what she showed. She's now fighting back. WTH, Cianna?
  • Cianna's Point of View:
  • "Hurt me again and I'll sue you!" I shouted at him with all my courage and strength when he was about to slap me. Because of what I did so Rod was stunned. The expression in his eyes at that moment was shocked.
  • "You're now fighting back," he said those words in a whisper but it was very clear to my hearing.
  • "All those years, I've been this stupid, Rodleigh. I'm so stupid that I poured all my attention and love on you!"
  • I said sternly causing him to look up at me. His expression was like, 'what's happening with this stupid creature?'  That's what I exactly saw on his facial expression.
  • He stayed quiet as if he had lost his voice so I continued speaking.
  • "With the extra attention I've given you, I can almost see your repeated cheating on me —with your fvckin 'EX-FIANCEE!"
  • Yes, everything I told him was true. Whenever he had a walk I secretly followed him with Jacob's car. Because I knew he would know when I would use my own car.
  • In the Office, in the bar, in his condo unit, and even in Thalia's condo unit . . . all the places they go, I'm there. I looked at them in the distance as my tears flowed incessantly.
  • "Why do you care? It's my life, Cianna! It's my life—"
  • I never let him finish his speech. I immediately gave him a crisp slap. Suddenly his eyes widened at what I did.
  • "I've had to do this for a long time, but I love you too much to give you back the pain you caused on me. It wasn't me, Rod. It's what you want me to be."
  • I laughed like an evil witched before heading to my room.
  • When I got inside my room I first made sure I locked it so no one could enter.
  • I went straight in front of the large mirror to stare at myself.
  • "Yo—you did the right choice, Cianna." I cried talking to myself using the large mirror in my room.
  • "Finally, you're brave!" I laughed like crazy before getting serious again.
  • "Di—did I really slap my man?" My tears flowed again at that question.
  • "N-no! You're not bad, aren't you?" I shuddered as I waited for my own answer.
  • "Yes, you are not." I stopped sobbing. Because I was satisfied with the answer I heard.
  • "What are you gonna do, now?" I shuddered because I didn't know what to answer to my own question.
  • "Will you still forgive him despite the pain that he'd caused you over and over again?"
  • It was there that I seemed to lose my voice. I am unable to answer that question. It seems difficult. It seems like a very difficult question that needs to be thought through carefully.
  • Rodleigh's Point of View:
  • I was dumbfounded when I headed for Jacob's house, so, I hardly realized that I had passed a few corners of his house.
  • I made a U-turn at the second corner back to the first and right in front of his house I blew a series of horns.
  • Moments later, I saw Jacob coming out of the gate.
  • "What brings you here, Del Mundo?" I don’t know if I was just amused or I actually saw his sharp look at me. His voice is even cold.
  • “I want to drink,” None of my own response.
  • "Come in." he said and then left me outside.
  • I hurried out of my car and followed him inside his house.
  • Jacob had a beer ready as soon as I went inside. He made me sit in front of him before he poured beer into my glass.
  • "What's the problem?" he still asked coldly.
  • "Cianna." I answered before I continued to swallow the contents of my glass.
  • "Woah!" he said full of sarcasm.
  • "What's wrong with you, Chua?" I asked him annoyed. Earlier I noticed that he seemed to be very angry with me.
  • "There's nothing wrong with me, Del Mundo. You, what's wrong with you, Del Mundo?"
  • I was slightly taken aback after he returned to me the question I had thrown at him.
  • "What's wrong with Cianna? What's the difference with her and Thalia?" He shook his head and grinned slightly.
  • "You're now questioning my personal life, Chua!" I said firmly before I stood up so that I could go home.
  • I guess coming here was the worst decision I've ever made this night.
  • "You're not leaving, Del Mundo! We still have to talk." He violently pulled me back into my seat.
  • "Do you really love Thalia that much?" he asked.
  • "Of course, I do!"
  • "Then, leave Cianna alone!"
  • I was stunned to what he had said. I've wanted to leave Cianna for a long time but I can't. I promised to her parents that I woudn't left her no matter what happened. She's still my wife and I am her husband.
  • "I can't—"
  • Because I'm already drunk, I immediately fell on the table when Jacob punched me.
  • "You're being too selfish, Del Mundo! Now, if you still love your life, leave my house right now!" he shouted then he dragged me out of his door.
  • What's wrong with this bastard? Why is he so mad at me when it comes to Cianna? Damn him!
  • "For some reason, do you like my wife?" I asked him out of nowhere.
  • "I don't just like her . . . I love her, Del Mundo! I love your wife!" he answered before he closed the door on me.
  • "Fvck you, Chua! Fvck you!" I shouted before leaving his house.
