Chapter 68 AUTHOR'S NOTES

- I want to use this opportunity to thank all of my readers. It has been a long journey writing this book(my first book), all thanks to your reads and ever-supportive reviews.
- This book has shown different stages on how attraction for the same-sex might set in, as well as how society condemns it. Michael was a great male lead as he decided to control his feelings rather than give in to them.
- When I wanted to write this book, a question came to my mind. "Why are they gay people as well as lesbians?"
- I did my research realizing that feelings toward the same sex might start to set in due to involuntary sexual arousal(which is normal).
- So I thought of writing a book about how a character would be attracted to the same sex but control those feelings. I made Michael go through different stages, to self-discovery and assuring himself he is not gay, not until he involves himself in homosexual acts.
- Things like same-sex attraction might fade away with time. I will like us to consider some real-life examples of those who have been caught in the web of same-sex attraction.
- The 16-year-old teenager says "Whenever I have homosexual urges, I meditate on my favorite Bible text"
- A young man says "I've tried to change my feelings. It feels so suffocating having this feeling I am trying to control, I don't know where to turn to"
- An 18-year-old boy says "When I discovered my feelings for the same sex, I feel perturbed. I have two minds, one to give in and the other against it. I began watching BL movies, but that doesn't help as I felt more trapped, the homosexual urges becoming stronger. I had to stop watching them, I prayed, meditated, and avoid staying amidst boys to avoid thinking about them.
- This went on for about a year and so far I made some progress as my feelings for the same sexes stopped. Now I can confidently vibe with the same sex without developing feelings for them.
- All these experiences above are real-life experiences. Remember there is no easy cure. Nevertheless, never forget that God understands the struggle you have in your heart.
- While dealing with same-sex attraction, do these things
- *Pray about it
- *Fill your mind with upbuilding thoughts
- *Shun pornography as well as videos or movies that might increase urges
- *Dont give up.
- God created us not as Robots but as someone with free will, to decide between right and wrong
- God gave us feelings, not for us to give in to them but to learn how to control them. This advice is for those struggling to overcome feelings for the same sex. I never wrote this to be against those who practice gay acts. Everyone has a choice. It is a free world.
- I'm writing this as someone who if he has to find himself in this position will act on.
